Product Stats
- Bayern Munich wore this adidas red-and-blue striped home design across the 1995/96 and 1996/97 seasons, with Opel as the principal shirt sponsor. During the 1995/96 campaign, Bayern finished second in the Bundesliga and won the UEFA Cup, defeating Bordeaux 5–1 on aggregate in the final to secure the club's first title in the competition. The following season, under Giovanni Trapattoni, Bayern claimed the 1996/97 Bundesliga championship with 71 points, finishing two points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen. The squad included Lothar Matthäus, Jürgen Klinsmann, Mehmet Scholl, and Thomas Helmer during this period. Combining European success with a return to domestic championship glory, the striped adidas shirt became a distinctive part of Bayern Munich's mid-1990s kit history.
