Product Stats
- Manchester United began the 2008-09 season as champions of England and Europe after winning the Premier League and the Champions League in 2007-08. Under Sir Alex Ferguson, they added the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan in December 2008, won the League Cup, and claimed a third consecutive Premier League title, equalling Liverpool's record of 18 league titles. They also returned to the Champions League final as defending champions, but lost 2-0 to Barcelona in Rome.
- Cristiano Ronaldo wore the number 7 shirt and was named the 2008 Ballon d'Or winner and FIFA World Player of the Year during the season. He scored 26 goals in all competitions, including a stunning long-range strike against Porto in the Champions League quarter-finals that won the first FIFA Puskás Award. In the summer of 2009, he moved to Real Madrid for a then world-record fee, making this his final season in a Manchester United shirt until his return in 2021.
- This home shirt carries both the Club World Champions badge and the Champions League title holder patch, marking a moment when United were the best club side in the world. The clean red design, AIG sponsor and long sleeves give it a classic look. It appeals to Manchester United supporters, Ronaldo and Portugal fans, Champions League collectors and anyone who wants a shirt from one of the most successful periods in the club's history.
