- The 1989/90 season marked a historic achievement for SSC Napoli, as the club captured its second Serie A championship, following its first title in 1986/87. Ennerre supplied the traditional sky-blue home shirt, featuring a simple collared design, the circular Napoli crest, and prominent Mars sponsorship. Under manager Alberto Bigon, Napoli finished top of Serie A with 51 points from 34 matches, narrowly ahead of AC Milan, securing the championship with a 1–0 victory over Lazio on the final matchday. Napoli also entered the season as UEFA Cup holders, although its European title defense ended in the third round against Werder Bremen. The club's domestic success made 1989/90 one of the most significant campaigns in its history, while the sky-blue Ennerre shirt with Mars branding became an enduring symbol of Napoli's late-1980s golden era.
