This is the Spain home jersey from the 1998 World Cup, produced by adidas, worn during a campaign in which the team was eliminated in the group stage despite a thumping 6-1 win over Bulgaria.

- This home jersey belongs to Spain's 1998 World Cup campaign under manager Javier Clemente, played in France. Spain entered the tournament among the favorites in Group D, but suffered a shock opening defeat, losing 3-2 to Nigeria after leading twice, with Sunday Oliseh scoring a late winner. Spain then followed that result with a goalless draw against Paraguay, leaving the team needing a big win in their final group match to have any chance of advancing.
- Spain finally delivered, thrashing Bulgaria 6-1 in their final group game, but it was not enough. Paraguay's win over already-qualified Nigeria in the other match meant Spain finished third in the group and were eliminated, despite ending the tournament with a superior goal difference to Nigeria. It remains one of the more dramatic group-stage exits in World Cup history. Made by adidas, this jersey is a notable piece for collectors of 1990s Spain kits and fans of the tournament's biggest shock results.
