- This home jersey spans Real Madrid's 1988-89 and 1989-90 seasons under manager Leo Beenhakker, during the height of the club's Quinta del Buitre era, built around five academy graduates led by Emilio Butragueno. In 1988-89, Real Madrid clinched their fourth consecutive league title with two matches to spare, beating Espanyol 3-0, and completed a domestic treble by also winning the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup, with Hugo Sanchez top-scoring in the league with 27 goals.
- The following season, 1989-90, Real Madrid were even more dominant, scoring a remarkable 107 league goals for a goal difference of plus 69 en route to a fifth consecutive title, matching the club's own record from the 1960s. Hugo Sanchez again finished as the division's top scorer with 38 goals. Made by Hummel and sponsored by Reny Picot, this jersey is tied to one of the most successful eras in Real Madrid's history.
