- This away jersey spans Tottenham Hotspur's 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons under manager Gerry Francis. The club entered the period having sold key players Jurgen Klinsmann, Gheorghe Popescu and Nick Barmby, leaving Francis to rebuild the squad. He paid a club-record 4.5 million pounds for Crystal Palace striker Chris Armstrong, a fee that drew criticism from supporters, but Armstrong quickly formed a productive partnership with Teddy Sheringham, who scored 24 goals in all competitions that season.
- Tottenham finished eighth in the Premier League in 1995-96 and reached the FA Cup fifth round, before a quieter 1996-97 campaign saw the club finish tenth, its lowest league position since Francis took charge, with early exits from both domestic cups. Francis would leave the club in November 1997 amid growing pressure from supporters. Made by Pony and sponsored by Hewlett Packard, this jersey is tied to a transitional period for Tottenham in the mid-1990s.
