- This third jersey was released to mark 110 years since Manchester United's first FA Cup triumph, a 1-0 win over Bristol City in 1909, in which the team wore a white shirt bearing a Lancashire red rose crest. The 2019-20 design pays tribute to that shirt with a subtle all-over rose print in grey and black tones, alongside an inscription on the lower right reading '110 Years - Manchester Rose - 1909-2019'.
- On the pitch, the jersey was worn during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first full season as permanent manager, in which United finished third in the Premier League to secure Champions League qualification. The club also reached the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they were eliminated by Sevilla, as well as the semi-finals of both the FA Cup and League Cup. Made by adidas and sponsored by Chevrolet, this jersey ties the club's modern era to one of the earliest moments in its trophy history.
