- This home jersey belongs to Leeds United's 1995-96 season under manager Howard Wilkinson, who had led the club to the last First Division title before the Premier League era back in 1992. Leeds struggled domestically, finishing 13th in the Premier League with 43 points, and were eliminated from the UEFA Cup in the second round by PSV Eindhoven after knocking out Monaco in the first round, with striker Tony Yeboah scoring a hat-trick in that win.
- The season's highlight came in the League Cup, where Leeds beat Birmingham City 5-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals to reach the final at Wembley against Aston Villa. Villa proved too strong on the day, winning 3-0 through goals from Savo Milosevic, Ian Taylor and Dwight Yorke, denying Leeds their first League Cup since 1968. The disappointment marked the beginning of the end for Wilkinson, who was sacked early the following season.
