- This home jersey was worn during Portugal's 2010 World Cup campaign in South Africa under manager Carlos Queiroz. After a disappointing goalless draw with Ivory Coast in their opening match, Portugal produced the most dominant performance of the tournament so far, thrashing North Korea 7-0 in Cape Town, their biggest ever World Cup win. Six different players found the net, including Tiago, who scored twice, while captain Cristiano Ronaldo also got on the scoresheet, ending a 16-month goal drought for his country in competitive matches.
- The result was made especially poignant by history: 44 years earlier, at the 1966 World Cup, North Korea had stunned Portugal by racing to a 3-0 lead in their quarter-final before Eusebio inspired a legendary 5-3 comeback. Portugal advanced from the group stage but were eliminated in the round of 16 by eventual champions Spain, losing 1-0. Made by Nike, this jersey is closely tied to one of the most emphatic scorelines in Portuguese football history.
