- This away jersey belongs to Inter Milan's 1998-99 season, one of the most chaotic in the club's history, extending a run without a Serie A title that had already stretched to nine years. Manager Luigi Simoni was sacked in November after a poor start, replaced by Mircea Lucescu, who himself lasted only until March, with goalkeeping coach Luciano Castellini taking over on a caretaker basis before Roy Hodgson was brought in to finish the campaign, meaning Inter used four different managers over the course of the season.
- Amid the upheaval, star striker Ronaldo was hampered by recurring knee problems that limited him to 19 league appearances, though he still scored 14 goals. Inter finished a disappointing eighth in Serie A and were eliminated from the Coppa Italia in the semi-finals, though they did reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League before losing to eventual champions Manchester United. Made by Nike and sponsored by Pirelli, this jersey belongs to a difficult transitional season that set the stage for Marcello Lippi's arrival the following year.
