- This home jersey was worn during Argentina's triumphant 1986 World Cup campaign in Mexico, one of the most iconic in football history, built entirely around the brilliance of captain Diego Maradona. In the quarter-final against England at the Estadio Azteca, Maradona scored two of the most famous goals ever seen in a single match: the controversial 'Hand of God,' punched in undetected past goalkeeper Peter Shilton, followed four minutes later by the 'Goal of the Century,' a mesmeric solo run past five English defenders.
- Maradona was directly involved in 10 of Argentina's 14 goals across the tournament and was named player of the tournament. In the final against West Germany at the same Azteca Stadium, Argentina raced into a 2-0 lead before the Germans fought back to level at 2-2, only for Maradona to thread a perfectly weighted pass to Jorge Burruchaga, who scored the winner with six minutes remaining, sealing a 3-2 victory and Argentina's second World Cup title. Made by Le Coq Sportif, this jersey remains one of the most historically significant shirts in the history of the sport.
