- This home jersey belongs to Liverpool's 2006-07 season, Rafael Benitez's third year in charge, which began with a Community Shield win over Chelsea following the previous season's FA Cup triumph. In the Premier League, Liverpool finished third, with new signing Dirk Kuyt top-scoring in the league on 12 goals and Peter Crouch leading the club overall with 18 goals in all competitions. The season also brought a memorable Champions League run, eliminating holders Barcelona in the first knockout round and beating Chelsea in the semi-final on penalties at Anfield.
- That set up a rematch of the famous 2005 'Miracle of Istanbul' final against AC Milan, this time in Athens, with Milan seeking revenge. Two goals from Filippo Inzaghi either side of half-time proved decisive, and although Kuyt pulled one back in the 89th minute, Liverpool fell 2-1 short of a sixth European Cup. Made by adidas and sponsored by Carlsberg, this jersey is closely tied to that dramatic European final and remains a significant shirt for Liverpool collectors.

The shirt is red with white adidas three-stripe trim on the shoulders and sleeves, and curved white piping seams running down the front and back. The polo-style collar is red with a white adidas wordmark and logo printed beneath it. The Liverpool crest, a shield featuring the Liver Bird, twin flames and a torch, sits on the right chest. A large white CARLSBERG script wordmark is printed across the center chest. A small circular Champions League badge is printed near the lower left hem.
