- Arsenal marked the club's 125th anniversary in 2011, having been founded in 1886 as Dial Square by workers at the Royal Arsenal armaments factory in Woolwich. The commemorative crest worn that season added a laurel wreath around the traditional cannon badge to mark the milestone.
- Fly Emirates has sponsored Arsenal's shirts since 2006, a partnership that also extended to the naming rights of the club's stadium, the Emirates Stadium, which opened the same year.
