This is the Spain away jersey from the 1996 season, produced by adidas in white with red and yellow flame-style stripes, worn during the team's controversial Euro 96 quarterfinal defeat to England.

- This away jersey was worn during Spain's 1996 campaign at the European Championship in England, under head coach Javier Clemente. Having gone 19 matches unbeaten coming into the tournament, Spain progressed from a tough group after draws with Bulgaria and France, and a late Guillermo Amor goal to beat Romania, before facing host nation England in the quarter-finals at Wembley.
- In one of the most famous matches of the tournament, Spain dominated for long periods and had three goals disallowed for offside across 120 goalless minutes, before losing the ensuing penalty shootout 4-2, with Fernando Hierro striking the crossbar and goalkeeper David Seaman saving from Miguel Angel Nadal. It remains one of the most cited examples of Spain's history of tournament misfortune. Made by adidas, this jersey, with its distinctive flame-striped design, remains a well-remembered piece from the Euro '96 era.
