- This home jersey belongs to Tottenham Hotspur's 1986-87 season, David Pleat's only full season in charge and one of the most thrilling campaigns in the club's history. Playing an attacking 4-5-1 system with Clive Allen as the lone striker supported by a five-man midfield of Glenn Hoddle, Chris Waddle, Ossie Ardiles and others, Spurs finished third in the First Division. Allen opened the season with a hat-trick at Aston Villa and went on to score a club-record 49 goals in all competitions, a mark that remains unbeaten, earning him both the PFA Players' Player of the Year and Football Writers' Player of the Year awards.
- Despite the goals, the season ended without silverware: Tottenham lost 3-2 after extra time to Coventry City in a memorable FA Cup final at Wembley, with Allen scoring his 49th goal of the season in the match, and were beaten by Arsenal in the League Cup semi-final after leading in both legs. Made by Hummel and sponsored by Holsten, this jersey's distinctive chevron and pinstripe design has made it one of the most fondly remembered Tottenham shirts of the 1980s, closely associated with Clive Allen's legendary goalscoring season.
