- This home jersey was worn during one of the most celebrated periods in Nigerian football history. Under Dutch coach Clemens Westerhof, the Super Eagles' golden generation, built around Rashidi Yekini, Daniel Amokachi, Sunday Oliseh, Finidi George and a young Jay-Jay Okocha, won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations before making their first-ever appearance at the FIFA World Cup that summer in the United States. Nigeria topped a group containing Argentina, Bulgaria and Greece, beating Bulgaria 3-0 and Greece 2-0, with only a narrow 2-1 defeat to Diego Maradona's Argentina.
- In the Round of 16, Nigeria led Italy through Emmanuel Amunike's goal and came within minutes of a famous upset, only for Roberto Baggio to equalize in the 88th minute and score a winning penalty in extra time, sending eventual runners-up Italy through 2-1. Made by Nike, the jersey's bold green body and geometric black-and-white sleeve pattern have made it one of the most celebrated African kits of the 1990s. This jersey remains a highly sought piece for collectors of Nigeria's breakthrough World Cup generation.
