- This home jersey belongs to Olympique Marseille's 1992-93 season, the most celebrated and most controversial in the club's history. Under coach Raymond Goethals and owner Bernard Tapie, a squad captained by Didier Deschamps and featuring Marcel Desailly, Jean-Pierre Papin, Rudi Voller and Abedi Pele beat AC Milan 1-0 in the European Cup final in Munich, with a Basile Boli header, becoming the first and to date only French club to win the competition.
- Weeks later, it emerged that Tapie had bribed Valenciennes players to underperform in a league match six days before the final, so that Marseille's stars could rest and stay fresh for Munich. The resulting scandal saw Marseille stripped of their French league title, forcibly relegated to Ligue 2, and banned from defending their European crown, though the Champions League trophy itself was allowed to stand. Made by adidas, this jersey remains one of the most historically loaded shirts in French football, tied to both a nation's proudest European triumph and one of its biggest scandals.
