- This green goalkeeper jersey was worn by Claudio Taffarel throughout Brazil's 1998 World Cup campaign in France, as the Selecao reached their second successive final under head coach Mario Zagallo. Taffarel played every minute of the tournament, famously saving two penalties in the semi-final shootout win over the Netherlands to send Brazil through. It capped a golden decade for the veteran goalkeeper, who had also started for Brazil's 1994 World Cup-winning side and won two Copa America titles.
- In the final against hosts France, Taffarel and Brazil were undone by two Zinedine Zidane headers either side of half-time and a late strike from Emmanuel Petit, going down 3-0 in a result overshadowed by forward Ronaldo's mysterious pre-match medical episode. Made by Nike, this green kit stands apart from the outfield squad's traditional yellow and blue, with yellow piping trim and the four-star CBF crest, the last version of the badge before Brazil's fifth World Cup title in 2002. As the shirt worn during one of the most talked-about finals in World Cup history, this jersey remains a significant piece for Brazil kit collectors.
