- This home jersey belongs to ACF Fiorentina's 1998-99 season, one of the most memorable in the club's history under manager Giovanni Trapattoni. Built around the strike partnership of Gabriel 'Batigol' Batistuta and playmaker Rui Costa, Fiorentina mounted a genuine Scudetto challenge and briefly topped the Serie A table, with Batistuta scoring 21 league goals. The title bid collapsed after Batistuta suffered a serious knee injury in a match against eventual champions AC Milan, and Fiorentina ultimately finished third, though this was still enough to secure Champions League qualification.
- The season also brought cup disappointment, with Fiorentina losing the Coppa Italia final and being controversially disqualified from the UEFA Cup. Made by Fila, the jersey is best remembered for its unusual and much-loved Nintendo sponsor, splashed across the chest during an era when the Japanese gaming company briefly backed the club. Worn by a squad that also featured goalkeeper Francesco Toldo, this jersey remains one of the most iconic and sought-after shirts of 1990s Serie A.
