- This third jersey belongs to Olympique Marseille's 1998-99 season, the club's best campaign since the match-fixing scandal that saw them stripped of European competition in 1993. Under manager Rolland Courbis, a squad built around Laurent Blanc, Fabrizio Ravanelli, Christophe Dugarry and a young Robert Pires pushed Bordeaux all the way in Division 1, ultimately finishing runners-up, with Florian Maurice topping the scoring charts with 14 league goals.
- Marseille's real triumph came in Europe, where they reached the 1999 UEFA Cup final, their first major European final in six years, only to lose to Parma. Made by adidas, the jersey carries a special centenary crest marking 100 years since the club's founding in 1899, alongside the Ericsson sponsor. As the kit worn during Marseille's celebrated post-scandal resurgence, this jersey remains a significant piece for collectors of the club's late-1990s history.
