- This home jersey belongs to Liverpool's 1992-93 season, the club's first in the newly formed Premier League and one of the more difficult campaigns under manager Graeme Souness. Injuries to key players including John Barnes, Jan Molby, Steve Nicol and Ian Rush disrupted the squad, and new signings such as goalkeeper David James had little immediate impact. Liverpool finished a disappointing sixth, having sat as low as 15th in the table at one stage, and missed out on European qualification for the following season.
- Ian Rush remained the team's standout performer, becoming Liverpool's all-time record goalscorer that season and finishing with 22 goals in all competitions.
