- By the 2005-06 season, Real Madrid's shirt sponsor had dropped the mobile subsidiary name and returned to the parent brand, with SIEMENS printed in bold black lettering rather than the earlier Siemens Mobile wordmark. The sponsorship arrangement ran through the middle of the decade before the club moved to a new commercial partner.
- Adidas outfitted several of its clubs' third kits in this period with a polo-style collar and understated tonal color schemes, distinguishing alternate strips from the more heavily branded home and away designs.
