- This home jersey was worn across Bayern Munich's 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons, a period bookended by European and domestic glory. In 1995-96, Bayern finished second in the Bundesliga under Otto Rehhagel, who was sacked just weeks before the UEFA Cup final; club legend Franz Beckenbauer stepped in as caretaker and led the team to a 5-1 aggregate win over Bordeaux, securing Bayern's first European trophy in 20 years. Jurgen Klinsmann, signed that summer from Tottenham, was the competition's top scorer with 15 goals.
- The following season, new manager Giovanni Trapattoni guided Bayern to the Bundesliga title, their 13th, with a dominant campaign built on a plus-34 goal difference and only three league defeats. Made by adidas, the jersey pairs Bayern's traditional red with blue pinstripes and the brand's signature three-stripe trim, alongside OPEL, the German carmaker that sponsored the club's shirt throughout the 1990s.
