- This third jersey corresponds to Barcelona's 2019-20 season, a turbulent campaign played out under two managers and interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Ernesto Valverde was sacked in January 2020 with Barcelona top of La Liga, replaced by Quique Setien, who saw the team finish runners-up to Real Madrid after the season resumed behind closed doors that summer. The campaign ended trophyless and in historic fashion, with an 8-2 Champions League quarter-final defeat to Bayern Munich in Lisbon, a result that led to Setien's dismissal days later.
- Made by Nike, the teal jersey was designed as a direct homage to Barcelona's 1996-97 third kit, worn during a season in which the club, managed by Bobby Robson with a young Ronaldo up front, won the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. The 2019-20 version carries an all-over jacquard pattern based on the club's coat of arms and a split red-and-blue collar, with RAKUTEN, Barcelona's principal shirt sponsor since 2017, printed across the chest. Despite a difficult season on the pitch, the kit's 90s-inspired design has made it a popular pick among Barcelona collectors drawn to its retro styling.
