- This home jersey was worn across Chelsea's 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons, beginning the year after Roman Abramovich's takeover of the club in July 2003. Under Claudio Ranieri in 2003-04, heavy summer signings including Claude Makelele, Damien Duff and Hernan Crespo helped Chelsea finish runners-up to Arsenal's unbeaten Invincibles and reach the Champions League semi-finals, where they were eliminated by Monaco. Ranieri was replaced that summer by Jose Mourinho, fresh from winning the Champions League with Porto, and in his first season in charge Chelsea won the Premier League title for the first time in 50 years, setting a then-record 95 points and conceding just 15 goals, while also lifting the League Cup with an extra-time win over Liverpool.
- Made by Umbro, the jersey keeps Chelsea's traditional royal blue with a simple white V-neck collar and cuff piping, framing the circular rampant lion crest and the Fly Emirates sponsor, the Dubai-based airline that has backed Chelsea's shirt since 2001.
