- This home jersey was worn across Chelsea's 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons, a period that began under Ruud Gullit and turned decisively when 33-year-old striker Gianluca Vialli was appointed player-manager in February 1998. Vialli immediately delivered silverware, guiding Chelsea to League Cup glory over Middlesbrough and a UEFA Cup Winners' Cup final win over Stuttgart, with substitute Gianfranco Zola scoring the winning goal, while the club finished 4th in the Premier League. The following season Chelsea opened with a UEFA Super Cup win over Real Madrid and climbed to 3rd in the league, their best finish since 1970.
- Made by Umbro, the long-sleeved jersey carries Chelsea's traditional royal blue with a subtle self-striped texture, white raglan panels trimmed in black and yellow piping, and the club's rampant lion crest on the chest. AUTOGLASS, the windscreen repair company that sponsored Chelsea's shirt throughout the mid-to-late 1990s, is printed prominently in white across the front. Worn during one of the most eventful managerial handovers in the club's history, this jersey is a popular pick for collectors of Vialli-era Chelsea memorabilia.

The shirt is royal blue with a subtle tonal pinstripe texture and long raglan sleeves. The collar is white with thin black and yellow stripe trim, and the V-neck has a matching white, black and yellow chevron insert. Each raglan seam is lined with a white panel edged in wavy yellow and black piping running from the underarm to the ribbed white cuffs. A white embroidered UMBRO wordmark sits on the left chest, with the circular Chelsea FC crest, navy blue with a gold rampant lion, positioned on the right chest.
