- This third jersey corresponds to AC Milan's 1997-98 season, a disappointing campaign under the returning Fabio Capello that ended in a 10th-place Serie A finish and his subsequent sacking. It was the first season without club legend Franco Baresi, who had retired after 1996-97, with Paolo Maldini stepping up to the captaincy. Forward George Weah remained a bright spot, scoring 10 league goals, and Milan did reach the Coppa Italia final, though they finished runners-up there as well.
- Made by Lotto, this rarely-worn black third kit stands apart from Milan's famous red and black home stripes, pairing a tonal jacquard body with bold red, black and white graphic panels on the sleeves. The oval club crest, carrying the MILAN 1899 lettering and a single gold star for ten Serie A titles, sits above the OPEL wordmark, the German carmaker that backed Milan's shirt throughout the 1990s. Description
