Product Stats
- In 2000, Belgium and the Netherlands jointly staged the European Championship, the first time the tournament was co-hosted by two nations. Matches were played across both countries, and the event brought a festive atmosphere to Belgian cities as the national team carried home expectations into the summer.
- Belgium opened the tournament with a win in Brussels but were unable to progress beyond a demanding group stage. Even so, the period remains a memorable chapter for Belgian football, and the team went on to qualify for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, continuing a long run of appearances at major tournaments during that era.
