Product Stats
- Barcelona launched their 2016/17 Nike home kit on 30 May 2016, returning to traditional vertical blue-and-red stripes after the previous season's horizontal design. The pattern paid tribute to the club's 1991/92 European Cup-winning team and its historic victory at Wembley, with subtle tonal stripes incorporated into the shirt. Originally unveiled without a main chest sponsor, the kit later featured Qatar Airways. Under Luis Enrique, Barcelona won the 2016 Spanish Super Cup and the 2016/17 Copa del Rey, defeating Deportivo Alavés 3–1 in the cup final on 27 May 2017. Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Neymar, Andrés Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, and Gerard Piqué were among the key members of the squad. Barcelona finished second in La Liga, while Messi claimed the league's top scorer award with 37 goals. In the UEFA Champions League, the team overturned a 4–0 first-leg defeat to Paris Saint-Germain with a memorable 6–1 second-leg victory before Juventus eliminated Barcelona in the quarterfinals. The season was Luis Enrique's last as manager and the final campaign of the Messi, Suárez, and Neymar attacking trio.
