Product Stats
- Liverpool wore this adidas Equipment home design during the 1993/94 and 1994/95 seasons, following the introduction of a new geometric shirt style in the early Premier League era. Its bright red base, three diagonal white bands on each side, and centrally positioned club crest made it one of the club's most distinctive 1990s designs. Carlsberg appeared as the main shirt sponsor, while the club's updated crest incorporated the Shankly Gates and Hillsborough memorial flame. Under Graeme Souness, Liverpool initially struggled during 1993/94, before former player Roy Evans took over as manager in January 1994. The team finished eighth that season, then improved to fourth in 1994/95. Young forwards Robbie Fowler and Steve McManaman became increasingly influential alongside established players Ian Rush, John Barnes, and Jamie Redknapp. Liverpool won the 1995 Football League Cup, defeating Bolton Wanderers 2–1 at Wembley on 2 April, with McManaman scoring both goals. The shirt reflects an important transitional period in Liverpool's history, combining emerging talent with a memorable adidas design.
