Product Stats
- Bayern Munich's 1996/97 away jersey was produced by adidas and featured a predominantly white body with a striking red-and-blue vertical stripe, dark collar detailing, and Opel sponsorship. The design was also carried over into the 1997/98 season. Its asymmetrical front layout and contrasting trim reflected the expressive visual style of European football shirts during the mid-1990s.
- Under manager Giovanni Trapattoni, Bayern won the 1996/97 Bundesliga title with 71 points, finishing two points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen. Jürgen Klinsmann was the club's leading league scorer with 15 goals, while players including Lothar Matthäus, Mehmet Scholl, Thomas Helmer, Markus Babbel, and Mario Basler contributed to the championship campaign. Bayern also reached the DFB-Pokal quarterfinals but exited the UEFA Cup in the first round. The white adidas design is associated with the club's return to the Bundesliga summit after Borussia Dortmund's two consecutive titles.

Description
This short-sleeve adidas jersey features a clean white base with subtle tonal fabric detailing and a prominent red-and-blue vertical stripe running down the front. The black fold-down collar is accented with fine red and blue lines, complemented by matching sleeve trims and contrasting shoulder detailing. Black adidas branding appears above the Opel sponsor logo, while the Bayern Munich crest sits inside a shield-shaped chest panel. A small heritage label near the lower stripe completes the design.
