Product Stats
- AC Milan's 2006-07 season began under the shadow of an eight-point deduction in Serie A following the Calciopoli scandal, but Carlo Ancelotti's side recovered to finish fourth. The highlight came in Europe, where Milan beat Liverpool 2-1 in the Champions League final in Athens on 23 May 2007 to win the trophy for the seventh time. In January 2007, during the winter transfer window, the club signed Ronaldo Nazário from Real Madrid, adding one of the most famous strikers in history to an already star-studded squad.
- Ronaldo wore the number 99 shirt at Milan, as the number 9 was already taken by Filippo Inzaghi. Because he had already played in the Champions League for Real Madrid earlier in the season, he was ineligible for Milan's European campaign, so his appearances came in Serie A. He scored seven goals in 14 league games, including goals in the Milan derby against Inter, his former club, making him one of the few players to have played for and scored for both Milan clubs.
- This home shirt uses adidas's 2006 template with curved panels and gold piping, and it was the first Milan shirt to carry the bwin sponsor. The Champions League starball and six-trophy badge of honour reflect the club's European campaign that season, which Ronaldo was unable to take part in. The long sleeve version adds a classic touch. It appeals to AC Milan supporters, Ronaldo and Brazil fans, collectors of rare player shirts and anyone who wants a piece connected to one of the greatest strikers of all time.
