Product Stats
- Diego Maradona (1960-2020) was born in Lanús, Argentina, and captained his country to the 1986 World Cup title. Although he had played his last professional match in 1997, his official farewell came on 10 November 2001 at La Bombonera, where an Argentina side faced a Rest of the World team in front of around 50,000 fans. Maradona scored twice from the penalty spot and closed the night with an emotional speech, including the famous line "la pelota no se mancha", meaning the ball itself remains untainted. He died in November 2020, aged 60.
- This tribute jersey draws on Argentina's sky blue and white stripes, framed by navy side panels and a black V-neck, while the large number 10 and Diego signature graphic place Maradona at the centre of the design. The HOMENAJE A DIEGO MARADONA lettering on the sleeve and hem links it directly to his farewell match, making it a fitting way to honour his life from 1960 to 2020. It appeals to Argentina supporters, Maradona admirers, Boca Juniors and Napoli fans, collectors of commemorative football shirts and lovers of retro Argentine football style.
