Product Stats
- After failing to qualify for the 2002 World Cup, the Netherlands brought back Dick Advocaat as head coach. Qualification for Euro 2004 went through a play-off against Scotland, where a 1-0 first-leg defeat was followed by a 6-0 win in Amsterdam, with Ruud van Nistelrooy scoring a hat-trick. At the tournament in Portugal, the Dutch drew with Germany, lost 3-2 to the Czech Republic and beat Latvia, then edged Sweden on penalties before losing 2-1 to the hosts in the semi-finals. Arjen Robben, Edgar Davids and Edwin van der Sar were key figures.
- This home shirt keeps the national orange at the centre of a clean, athletic early-2000s design, using a black crew neck, triangular side panels and diagonal lower lines for contrast. The black swoosh and crowned lion crest complete a minimal, balanced front. Its link to a period that introduced Robben and saw van Nistelrooy at his peak gives it strong appeal. It appeals to Netherlands supporters, Euro 2004 collectors, van Nistelrooy and Robben fans, Nike football enthusiasts and collectors of early-2000s international shirts.
